Get the 7-30 Climate-Health Emergency Framework

You know that climate change is hurting the health of your community:

  • When the road floods, you find another way to reach the woman in labour.
  • When the heat rises, you change your clinic hours.
  • When the rains fail and children arrive hungry, you act with what you have.

You do this without being asked, and often without being paid back for the transport or the airtime it costs you.

You are doing what you can to prepare, respond, and recover.

What if you had a plan?

7-30 CHEF is a new tool that helps you carry less of it alone.

It gives a shape to what you already do, so you can ask for support with evidence behind you.

And a free Level 1 certification course helps you learn to use it in the community you serve.

Talk to the 7-30 Climate Health Emergency Framework

Have a conversation with the framework. You type a question in plain language, for example “How can I grow as a leader?” or “My challenge is finding zero-dose children. What should I focus on to do this better?”, and you will receive an answer based on the framework. You do not need any technical skill or any prior experience with artificial intelligence to talk to the report.

What is 7-30, in one minute

7-30 CHEF stands for the Climate Health Emergency Framework.

It sorts a climate emergency into three phases, built around two numbers you can hold in your head under pressure.

The 7 is getting ready.

Within seven days of a warning or a seasonal sign, your area is confirmed prepared.

Your risks are reviewed, your plan is active, your roles are clear, and the people you trust are ready to help.

The 30 is for recovery.

Within thirty days of an event starting, essential services are stable again, you have recorded what it cost you, and you have started one action that makes next time easier.

Response is what you do in between.

It starts when the situation demands, not on a fixed day.

Why it is worth your time

7-30 CHEF helps you in three plain ways.

  1. It makes your existing work visible, so you can request support with evidence.
  2. It sorts a stressful situation into three clear phases, so you know what to do and when.
  3. It connects your local plan to district and national systems, so you are not carrying the weight alone.

It works alongside clinical guidance, surveillance, emergency systems, and government plans.

It helps you use all of them before, during, and after an emergency disrupts normal services.

It was built by and for people who work for health

7-30 CHEF is grounded in the experience of health workers in climate-vulnerable countries participating in Teach to Reach, the largest peer learning community by and for people who work for health between July 2023 and July 2026.

Teach to Reach connects health workers who describe how climate change is reaching their communities and what they are doing about it.

What actually happens, what works, and how: that is the source of the framework.

When you use it, you are using solutions your peers have already tested in conditions like your own.
