About The Geneva Learning Foundation

We are a Swiss non-profit foundation, established in Geneva in 2016 and supervised by the Geneva cantonal authority for foundations.

What makes our work distinctive

Three features define every programme we deliver.

  • Practitioners produce the knowledge. Each participant begins with a real challenge from their own work and builds a practical project to address it.
  • Peers review the work. Colleagues facing similar conditions in other countries examine each project and offer structured feedback, which strengthens the plan before it reaches implementation.
  • Support continues through implementation. Participants report on what they do, learn from what happens, and take the next step.

This design reaches professionals in settings where connectivity is limited and time is scarce. Our courses run on low bandwidth and shared devices.

Certification and leadership

Our certification records what a person produced, contributed, and improved. Several pathways align to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework and count toward continuing professional development.

Progression continues after certification. Alumni are recognised as Scholars. Scholars who accept an active leadership mandate are inducted as Ambassadors. Ambassadors may become Country and then Regional Representatives.

Our partners

We work in collaboration with countries and communities, and build partnerships with United Nations agencies, universities, philanthropic funders, and for-profit businesses.

Leadership and governance

The Board of Trustees holds fiduciary responsibility for the Foundation, under the authority of the authority that regulates non-profit foundations in the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland.
