Dear Scholar,
On Thursday 6 August 2026, health professionals will gather for Teach to Reach 16 (what is this?).
Leaders from TGLF’s Malaria: Turning the Tide programme will share new ways to fight malaria.
If you miss it: catch up on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
At every Teach to Reach, we meet, network, and learn to problem-solve challenges that matter to you.
Concerned about climate change hurting the health of your community? Join to get the 7-30 Climate-Health Emergency Framework and learn what you can do as a health worker if you face floods or extreme heat.
Join to discover the newest certifications on new topics like brain health.
And check out TGLF’s brand-new web site to find the latest opportunities to grow as a leader.
Wondering what this is all about? See what we learned at Teach to Reach 15.

New tools for malaria prevention and control are coming

Do you know what they are?
New vaccines, medicines, antibodies, nets, and tools that target mosquitoes are all here or close.
Our new certification helps you make sense of each one, then think through what this will mean for your community.
Get the 7-30 Climate-Health Emergency Framework

You have more to do this week than the week has hours.
When the road flooded, you found another way. When the heat rose, you changed your clinic hours. When the rains failed and children arrived hungry, you acted with what you had. You did this without being asked, and often without being paid back for the transport or the airtime.
The 7-30 Climate-Health Emergency Framework gives a shape to what you already do, so you can ask for support with evidence behind you.
Download it free in English or French, then get your Level 1 certification.
The last time a flood hit your community, what did you do?

A flood does not arrive as a health problem. It arrives as a closed road, a dead refrigerator, a well that now tastes of sewage. Then it becomes your problem, because you are the health worker the community reaches first. This course is about what you can do to prepare, respond, and recover to make your community stronger.
New certification: brain health

Brain health is how well a person can think, feel, remember, make decisions, and connect with others, across a whole life.
When people live through war, disaster, displacement, or poverty, their brains stay on high alert.
This is called stress. For a short time, stress protects. But when danger does not end, the alarm stays on. Over years, this wears the brain down and harms how a person thinks, sleeps, and feels.
What did we learn at Teach to Reach 15?

Teach to Reach is the world’s largest community where people who work for health share experience to solve problems together.
So, what did we learn at Teach to Reach 15?
In Kolda, Malick Ndome could not rebuild the road and could not move the women in labour, so he moved something else. What he did cost almost nothing, and somebody still had to pay for it.
Lillian Mutua counts a flood differently from a meteorologist. She started with more than 100 dead in the central business district of Nairobi, then kept going, into the losses that only show up weeks later.
We published six new stories. One story shows what is possible. Six are a different kind of evidence.

Are you ready to accelerate your career?

TGLF’s new Leadership framework helps you chart your professional journey.

It’s grounded in the Manifesto for global health that 1,300 people helped draft.
The course will teach you to use the framework – and connect you to leaders from all over the world.
